Sisters: Our Cozy Pit Stop
No trip feels complete without our little tradition—a stop at Sisters Coffee Company. Imagine the smell of freshly brewed coffee mixed with the sweet scent of cookies just out of the oven. This place is our first checkpoint, where we gear up on caffeine and treats. It’s not just a coffee break; it’s the warm-up for the adventure ahead.
The Drive to Paradise
Heading out from Sisters, it’s only a 20-30 minute drive to the river, but what a change of scenery! The Metolius River, with its stunning turquoise waters, feels like stepping into another world—a tranquil escape where time slows down.
Camping by the River
We’ve got our favorite spots to camp by the river, places where the sound of the water and the rustle of the trees are all you hear. It’s all about being right there in the heart of nature, with trails to explore and time to connect with nature.
The Simple Joys
Walking the Metolius River Trail is a must-do for us. It’s an easy hike with breathtaking views, perfect for soaking in the beauty of the area. But honestly, some of our best moments are just sitting by the river, letting the peace and quiet wash over us. There’s something magical about brewing a morning coffee and just being by the water.
